About GOGGULL

GOGGULL (pronounced “goggle”) is an innovative line of fashionable safety goggles featuring both blue blocking and sun lenses. All GOGGULL frames are made from a highly durable, flexible thermoplastic called TR90 (used by high-performance sports brands) and meet the Z87 standard for impact resistance for Occupational and Educational Eye and Face Protection as accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Created by the founder to address a personal sensitivity to light, GOGGULL’s clear lenses cut 35% of blue light, and our sun lenses meet UV400 standards, blocking 100% of all harmful ultraviolet rays. All lenses include anti-fog, anti-scratch, and anti-reflective coatings. Prescription versions, splashguards, polarized lenses, and other accessories will be available in the near future.

GOGGULL is committed to redefining bold, effortless, unapologetic style in the modern era. Our design screams “drama” without saying a word. We are bold but not aggressive; modern but not contrived; retro but not ironic.

Please stay posted for details on the official launch COMING SOON.

About the Founder

Founder Erin Vargo

My name is Erin Vargo, and I am a solopreneur, fashion designer, and founder of GOGGULL LLC. The concept for GOGGULL evolved as I developed extreme light sensitivity over years of exposure to artificial blue light while employed as a writer working on LED screens late into the night. During a routine eye exam, I discovered I have a rare genetic condition in which the backs of my eyes contain no pigment, a form of ocular albinism that makes me especially vulnerable to UV rays and the effects of artificial light. In 2018, I ventured out to create my own line of eyewear combining premium protection with daring style and developed the GOGGULL aesthetic and functional components over seven years of product testing and feedback. In 2020, I donated more than 1,000 pairs of GOGGULLs to healthcare heroes on the frontlines of COVID-19. GOGGULL LLC remains an entirely self-funded venture with no investors or business partners, though I am deeply indebted to the friends and family who provided support and feedback on my product iteration in the development stage. I am proud to launch my first commercial collection soon.
